June 14-55
Sat. June 14, 2008: Good evening everyone, we are underway on an eight day Seeker Rods trip along with a great group of guys and gals, including the Seeker Pro Staff group. After picking up an excellent load of bait we enjoyed a tackle seminar followed by Joe Pfister handing out many tackle items and a raffle drawing for a brand new Super Seeker fishing rod. We are on our way to the offshore waters in search of the elusive tuna. Wish us luck and thanks for checking in with "The Intrepid Team."
Sun. June 15, 2008: Hello all, Today we had a great day watching the U.S. open and enjoying a smooth ride southbound. We did not find much in the way of tuna fishing although we did find some fish that did not want to bite for us. Tomorrow we will be fishing along the Baja coast for Yellowtail and whatever else wants to bend a rod. Stay tuned for more reports to follow. "The Intrepid Team".
Mon. June 16, 2008: Today was spent cranking on quality Yellowtail all day long. We had a great day of fishing with all techniques working well. The fish were 25-40lb class Tails and were on the chew throughout the day. We also caught and released an estimated 180lb Black Seabass, one of two hooked!! Many trophy sized Calico bass released as well.. We had so much fun today that everyone wants to do it again tomorrow. The weather is absolutely perfect and the fresh fish dinner prepared by Javier and Hector topped off an already outstanding day. Check in tomorrow for more news. "The Intrepid Team"

Tue. June 17, 2008: EVENING REPORT : Good evening Intrepid fans and fishermen. Today was spent catching and releasing several different species of fish, including more Black Seabass, some Yellowtail, and lots of trophy sized Calico bass. We had exceptional fishing for Calico's today with many of the bass going over 5lbs and a dozen or so pushing 7-8lbs. For tomorrow we are traveling to a new location in search of more big Yellowtail and a change in scenery. Wish us luck.. "The Intrepid Team"
Wed. June 18, 2008: Hello all... Yesterday we had good fishing all around. The catch included more quality Yellowtail along with White Seabass and more Black Seabass. Everyone is having a great time and enjoying the beautiful weather and good fishing, not to mention the gourmet dining provided by Javier and Hector. "The Intrepid Team"
Thu. June 19th, 2008: The fishing today was on the slow side with alot of run and gun style of chasing around the small spots of fish that were up and under the birds. When we did get a spot to stay with us the seals would take a large portion of what we had hooked up. Overall we managed to get everyone a few fish for the day along with the donations made to the sea life. Tomorrow we will be looking offshore for some action of a different kind. Wish us luck... "The Intrepid Team"
Fri. June 20, 2008: Today we hunted and searched while finding more yellows on the kelps until we found the edge we were looking for . Once we found it we were able to catch our first Albacore of the year. The fish were good size Albies going 30lbs. We got into this area late in the day, so we are going to fish this tomorrow until its time to head for home.."Intrepid Team".
Sat. June 21, 2008: Good evening from the Intrepid. Our last day was spent looking for and finding some Bluefin that were up high and dry crashing around on baits, but did not want to bite for us. These were 40lb class fish that were moving quickly from spot to spot and we were not fortunate enough to hook any. We did manage to find more kelps holding Yellowtail and had some fun pulling on nice grade Yellows. The Intrepid will be back home tomorrow around 9:00am. "The Intrepid Team"
Sun. June 22, 2008: The Intrepid arrived at Point Loma today with a very nice catch a Yellows, Albacore,White Seabass, and a very nice Halibut. The jackpot winner was Leonard Armstrong with his 59.6lb yellow, second went 47.6lbs, and third place was 43.4lbs. Great catch guys!! Leonard received the seeker trophy for biggest fish on the trip.
